Jingara Hart
Jingara Hart is an artist who designs in different mediums for storytelling and self-expression. His view of the world and the environment is profoundly shaped by his Indigenous heritage. A proud Bundjalung man, Jingara has spent many years creating a home and raising his family in Canberra, drawing inspiration from the landscapes around him.
His artistic practice spans multiple disciplines, allowing him to transition effortlessly from the physical precision of linocuts to the fine detail of ink pens and the fluid texture of acrylic paints. By choosing to work mostly in high-contrast black and white, Jingara creates visual art that is intentionally bold and unmistakably clear. Each piece stands as a powerful testament to his journey, his heritage, and his personal story.
Lily Hart Coleman
Lily Coleman is a contemporary artist based in Canberra who channels her personal experiences, heritage, and love for nature into her creative brand, "Lil' Art by Jingo." Growing up on Ngunnawal and Ngambri Country, Lily developed a deep connection to her surroundings, which continues to inspire her creative journey today. As a proud Bundjalung woman, her Indigenous heritage forms a foundational element of her identity and gently informs the spirit of her work, celebrating the local landscape and the community that sustain it.
Lily’s primary medium is acrylic paint, using its versatility to bring her artistic visions to life on canvas. Rather than using bright or overly vibrant colors, she selects a grounded palette that is deeply sympathetic to the natural environment. Her artistic style is also shaped by her family. Her father, a Bundjalung man, passed down a love for creating art, while her mother’s influence instilled a lifelong appreciation for art that possessed a distinctly botanical flavor. Lily blends these family influences to create a painting style that is entirely her own.
